Shop owner. Marketer. Mom. Generally pro-small-business.

Nine years, a million-dollar storefront, 20,000 customers, and a deeply unserious obsession with branding. These days I mentor shop owners, partner with brands I love, and tell stories about local life from my corner of BC.

9 YRS IN BIZ · $1M+ STOREFRONT REVENUE · 20,000+ CUSTOMERS SERVED

The slightly-longer version:

I opened a marketing office in 2017. It accidentally turned into a store.

Then a bigger store. Then another location. Somewhere along the way it became a multi-million-dollar retail business that everyone told me was impossible — "brick and mortar is dead," remember that?

I called it The Local Space, and it taught me everything: buying, merchandising, hiring, marketing that actually moves product, the spreadsheet that tells you the truth. Along the way I built a real audience of people who care about local — shoppers, makers, founders, and the brands that want to reach them.

"Two lanes, one obsession: helping small businesses win, and shouting about the local stuff I love."

Now I'm in a new chapter — Madden's mom first — which means I get to do the parts of this work I love most. One lane is mentorship: 1:1 and small-group coaching for product businesses who want the shortcut. The other lane is content + partnerships: showing up for local shops, eateries, and brands I genuinely love and helping them reach the people who care.

Think of me as the friend who's already opened the store, hired the team, run the holiday sale — and also has the camera roll, the audience, and the opinions to back it up.

WHAT I DO NOW:

Two lanes. Both built around small business.

Mentorship: 1:1 coaching, the Local Biz Club, and consulting for shop owners who want the shortcut — the playbook I spent nine years writing, handed to you at year one.

Content & partnerships: I create for local brands, shops, eateries, and product companies I genuinely love — brand stories, sponsored content, collabs, and good old-fashioned shouting about the things worth shouting about.

OFF THE CLOCK

The non-business stuff.

If you got this far:

However we're meant to work together — let's get into it.

Whether you're a shop owner who wants the shortcut, or a brand looking for a partner who actually gets local — there's a door for that. (And if you just want the Monday email, that's a door too.)
